Escape RoomThoughts on the Modern WorkplaceCompany Updates

Proof of Concept - Escape Room at Google

The Get Back to Work escape room in Singapore

I’ve attended a lot of developmental workshops in my time.

Most were fine, a few were great, but too many felt like we were just going through the motions. The polite head nods that encouraged time to speed up, the endless slides, the ever-exhilarating breakout groups, and the long countdown to lunch. Followed by the even longer lethargic post-lunch session.

What’s struck me is how common that experience still is.

That’s not what we’re building at Teamwork Unlocked in Singapore. We couldn’t do that if we tried.

In many companies, workshops have become something to get through rather than something to learn from. After all these years, I’ve seen many teams dreading what used to be circled on the calendar as a day to look forward to. We’re hoping to address that with an immersive, hands-on experience that’s also fun. Yes, workshops can still be fun - I proved it at Google. Just look at all those smiling faces!

I’ve found that people want to engage when you build the right environment. They want to understand how their team operates under pressure and they want to walk away with insights they can actually use. That’s why our programs combine leadership training with interactive methods like escape room training, creating memorable experiences that stick.

I believe in experiential learning because I’ve seen it change how people lead. Leadership development shouldn’t be about ticking boxes; it should mean something. That’s the foundation of our leadership escape room training approach - putting teams in realistic challenges that demand communication, problem-solving, and collaboration.

We’d love to show you what this could look like for your leadership team. Our first room, Submerged, will launch in July/August. Prepare to be a part of the world’s first B2B escape room Singapore experience, designed as a unique leadership training Singapore and team development training program. It’s not just about solving puzzles - it’s about unlocking stronger teams, better leaders, and lasting team building.
