General Questions

Learn more about Teamwork Unlocked and how we can help your team.

What is Teamwork Unlocked?

Teamwork Unlocked is a leadership and management development company that uses immersive escape rooms and experiential learning to improve team performance. We create engaging, memorable experiences that develop critical workplace skills in a unique and effective way.

Wait up... So you use escape rooms for leadership development?

That's right! We ran a protoype of our solution at Google Singapore in 2024. In six months, we had 800+ players (150+ teams) participate, and at 97% 5-Star Feedback Rating, so we know this works. Based on our experience, escape rooms are a microcosm of the work environment. You work as a team on a time-bound task, surrounded by uncertainty. People's true selves come out more naturally in such an environment. Our facilitators can observe and discuss your team dynamics to foster deep understanding and insights.

So we go through an escape room as a team and afterwards you tell us what you saw?

It's much more than that actually! Using our "Submerged" learning experience as an example, we developed a methodology that showcases how different roles are required for successful teams. Participants take an individual pre-assessment as part of the program. We start by discussing how individuals view themselves and how that compares with other people's observations, and how the composition applies to the team. Then, teams progress through a multi-stage escape room with debriefing sessions happening between each phase, allowing for iterative learnings throughout the exercise. We promise many other surprises along the way!

But aren't escape rooms a bit scary?

Fear not! Learning and development always comes first in how we designed the rooms. We do not use scary or horror elements in our escape rooms. We focus on creating a fun and engaging experience that is appropriate for corporate clients.

And you have experience in running training using escape rooms?

Yes, we do. We actually ran a scaled down version of our flagship program in our previous company (Google) and it was a huge success. We have since refined the program and are now running it with companies around Singapore. Our previous participants were leaving the experience with not just a smile, but also a newfound understanding of themselves and their teams.

Who are your typical clients?

We work great with new teams or teams that have started a new project and are facing challenges with it. Our programs are particularly effective for leadership teams, management cohorts, cross-functional teams, and departments undergoing change.

Where are you located?

Our main facility is located at 991 Alexandra Road #01-03 C/D, Singapore, 119964. It is near the Labrador Park MRT station on the Circle Line, and is easily accessible by public transport. Mapletree Business City, Vivocity, and several restaurants are also nearby.

How do I get started?

The best way to get started is to register your interest through our website. We'll schedule a consultation to understand your specific needs and recommend the most appropriate program for your team.

Our Approach

Questions about our methodology and development approach.

How is this different from typical training programs?

Typical development programs tend to focus on lectures or facilitated discussions in an abstract manner or classroom setting. Our program is immersive, and allows our facilitators to observe team behaviours in real time while teaching and reinforcing targeted learning outcomes. Our unique environments create a memorable experience that participants will always remember.

How is this different from commercial escape room team building exercises?

Commercial escape rooms are built primarily with entertainment and puzzle solving in mind. Our rooms are not designed to stump participants with overly difficult challenges, but rather to help participants experience specific targeted learning outcomes. Our escape room design philosophy starts with the outcome in mind, and we work backwards to create a room that meets our goals. Of course, we ensure our room themes are appropriate for corporate clients while avoiding jump scares and common escape room themes involving scary or horror elements.

What size teams can you accommodate?

Each escape room can accommodate 10 participants. When we open additional rooms in the near future, we will be able to manage multiple groups of 10 and rotate them through different rooms. Additionally, we have lounge facilities available for supplemental activities on offer.

How do you measure success?

We establish clear metrics at the beginning of our engagement based on your specific goals. These might include pre and post-training assessments, workplace behavior observations, project outcome improvements, or employee satisfaction scores. We will work with you to determine the most meaningful measures for your organization.

Offsite Experiences

Questions about planning and organizing offsite events.

How far in advance should we book our offsite?

We recommend booking at least 4 weeks in advance to ensure availability of your preferred date and to allow adequate time for customization and planning.

What is the typical group size for an offsite?

Each escape room is designed for groups of up to 10 participants. It is perfect for management, leadership, and executive teams, but also mid-level teams in large companies. Contact us if you have a bigger team.

How are the costs structured?

The flagship development experience has a base price, and each additional module or service can be added à la carte. We will provide a detailed proposal based on your specific needs.

Can you accommodate dietary restrictions for catering?

Yes, we can accommodate a wide range of dietary requirements and preferences. Just let us know in advance, and we will ensure everyone's needs are met. We can facilitate with booking nearby restaurants if you prefer to dine out.
