I’m beyond excited to announce the launch of our brand new venture - Teamwork Unlocked in Singapore! Co-founded by Tom Zacharski and myself (Brian Slattery), Teamwork Unlocked isn’t your typical leadership development company. We transform learning through custom-designed, immersive escape room training experiences that reveal deep insights into team dynamics, communication, and collaboration.
During our time at Google, Tom and I explored the powerful intersection of professional development and fun. Some of my favorite “side projects” - including creating the world’s largest private board game café and constructing an immersive 60-minute escape room - taught me just how effective interactive experiences are for learning and growth. Now, we’re turning what’s traditionally considered a fun team building activity into transformative, real-world leadership training.
Our approach starts with targeted learning outcomes, designing each escape room Singapore experience to engage leadership teams fully in a psychologically safe yet dynamic environment. The workshops are meticulously crafted to highlight specific team behaviors, strengths, and areas for improvement. Participants face themed challenges with a twist: throughout the half-day program, we pause at critical moments to debrief, offering instant feedback, insights, and opportunities for teams to adapt their strategies in real time.

Our skilled facilitators pinpoint authentic behaviors and communication patterns, uncovering insights in just one session that might otherwise take months to surface in a typical work setting. Our inaugural room, Submerged, is currently under construction and centers around the “8 Roles of Effective Teams,” a framework we developed after observing over 800 participants at Google Singapore’s escape room. In this workshop, participants will discover their natural strengths, test their flexibility in various team roles, and address gaps head-on. As the crew of a malfunctioning submarine sinking to the ocean floor, teams must collaborate and problem-solve under pressure to repair their vessel and return to port, managing unexpected twists along the way. It’s team development training in action - high-pressure collaboration that mirrors real-world leadership challenges.
More exciting rooms are on the horizon, each thoughtfully designed to tackle common problems faced by leadership teams, such as communication breakdowns, lack of cohesion, and siloed collaboration. Tom’s expertise adds a high-tech edge, enhancing sessions with innovative tech integrations, an insightful debriefing process, and a companion app that reinforces learning long after the experience concludes.
