Business Times Article

Here’s something I never imagined - I had an op-ed published in the Business Times over the weekend. Does that make me an official “LinkedIn Influencer?”
I was beyond thrilled, and to be honest a bit scared, when the editor reached out to me, saying they enjoyed my “prolific and passionate” sharing on LinkedIn, and asked if I’d like to contribute a piece on work, play, and leadership. My response was purely a formality - of course I jumped at the opportunity!
I’ve been fortunate to take this leap into entrepreneurship, and especially with a topic I’m passionate about, bringing play and fun to work. Every time I get to go into the 20 second pitch about our company, I relish the brief nanosecond between finishing the sentence “team development, using escape rooms” and the listener’s eyes going wide before they say, “What? That’s so cool!”
I love sharing my thoughts here on LinkedIn four times a week, no matter if the post gains traction or is a dud. I was thrilled last week to attend the Confluence social media influencer event and have someone recognize me from one of my posts about the response from colleagues when I left Google.
Next week, I get to attend the Play 14 conference with others passionate about combining play and work (and hopefully show off our new product!)
So today, I’m just feeling grateful. Whether you like and comment on my posts, or just scroll past my long winded prose, thank you for being here with me on this journey. It’s the people you meet along the way - you are all making this year fantastic for me.
